Den Dads is a volunteer program for fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures who want to be more involved at Fox Hollow. Whether you can give an hour a month or just want to stay in the loop on what’s happening at school, your time and effort make a big difference.
No special skills required. Just a willingness to show up and pitch in.
Shirts are optional but awesome. Grab one to show your Den Dad pride!

Research consistently shows that when fathers and father figures are involved in a child’s school life, students benefit in measurable ways—academically, socially, and emotionally.
A 2023 study found that father involvement in elementary schools contributes to:
Improved behavior and focus in the classroom
Stronger emotional development, especially in children with learning differences
Increased engagement in academics and school life
A stronger sense of support and connection between home and school
Even small actions—like volunteering in the classroom or attending school events—send a clear message to students: school is important, and they are supported.

Absolutely! Moms are incredibly important! In fact, they’re often the ones already carrying the load when it comes to school involvement.
Den Dads isn’t about taking anything away from moms. It’s about creating space for dads, grandpas, uncles, and other father figures to feel welcome, included, and encouraged to be part of their child’s school experience too.
We also know that every family looks different—whether you're co-parenting, divorced, a single parent, or part of a blended family, Den Dads is here to support all father figures who want to be involved.
When both moms and dads (or any caring adults in a child’s life) are engaged, kids benefit even more. Den Dads is just one way we’re helping build that support for our students and families, no matter what your family looks like.

The safety of our students is our top priority. All volunteers who work directly with children, especially during school hours or in unsupervised settings, are required by the Jordan School District to complete a background check and fingerprinting.
This process helps ensure that every adult on campus has been screened and approved to work around students. It’s a simple but important way we can protect our kids and create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.
We know it’s an extra step, but it shows our families, teachers, and staff that our volunteers are committed to putting students' safety first.
